My 3 month adventure

Since I've returned from Lyon, I've had a few days to pack for my three month holiday. I couldn't be more excited to get started! I can't wait to finally see my family! After 5 months of not seeing a single family member or friend from Sydney, it almost feels surreal that the day has come. I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Paris to welcome them at the airport and start this adventure!

So where am I going...?

Here's the itinerary...

Lyon photo diary

So straight after Switzerland, I hopped on another train back across the border to France to visit a few more friends living in Lyon. I love exploring different cities in France because although they're all somewhat similar, they still each have their own unique vibe. Lyon is everything I thought it would be.. It was warm and sunny, had great architecture and plenty to see and do. It really got me excited for the summer holidays ahead!

Switzerland photo diary

Yep, this year is pretty much going to be all about photo diaries.. I hope you enjoy looking at beautiful scenery!

Since I finished my uni exams and handed in my last assignment for this semester, I've had a few weeks to relax and get ready for my huge 3 month holiday ahead. Naturally, something unexpected had to happen and I ended up having to move out of my old apartment due to building renovations. Sucks! So a week was pretty much spent packing, cleaning, moving, cleaning again, unpacking and settling in. I did get some spare time in between to explore more of Caen and just relax and hang out in the sun.

Then once I finished my last day at work (it was kind of sad actually.. I'm going to miss those little kids), I hopped on the train to visit a friend living in Lausanne. Lausanne was very city-like. High rise buildings, bustling with people and cafes.. it reminded me of Surry Hills in Sydney. What was cool about Lausanne was that although it looked super modern, there were still huge mountains in the background, so you'll always feel like you're in Switzerland. We also took a day trip to Bern (the capital city of Switzerland) which was an hour away and it was so picturesque! The Old Town was amazing. Cobblestoned streets with cute shops, old trams, and the Switzerland flag flying on every second window.

All in all, it was a great trip to Switzerland. Being there again reminded me why I loved it so much when I travelled there last year.
Enjoy the photos!
