Trend: striped pants

I'm absolutely in love with striped pants, but I still don't know whether I can pull off the trend. I've tried on a few different styles in stores, and I still haven't found a pair that I love. Hopefully I can find one soon - it would definitely be a staple in my wardrobe for the winter months ahead.

Let me know if you have any suggestions on where I could find some amazing striped pants in the comments below :)

Here's some outfit inspiration for you all!

Leather love

I've been in love with leather boxer shorts lately, so when I saw these online, I had to buy them! Surprisingly, I've been getting quite a bit of wear out of them lately (considering it's moving towards winter in Sydney). I just team it with a coat, or wear it with stockings on colder days. The style and colour also makes them super versatile, so I plan on wearing them as much as I can in the coming months.

Flower power

I love florals. It's definitely one of my favourite prints to style. Since the weather was nice, I decided to pair some casual denim shorts with a fun light pink floral blazer to add a little interest and to also give a slightly polished touch to my outfit. I finished off with a pair of cool aviators and some bright flats with a yellow side bag for a summery vibe.

And although this might not be the most appropriate outfit for the beach, I was having brunch nearby and the location was too good to pass up for some photos!

Elle Tassy winter lookbook + discount code!

Elle Tassy is an online vintage shop founded by two young and talented Aussie girls - Lucia Pang and Natasha Bordizzo. These two high school graduates have a super fun and unique style, and have managed to create a collection of trendy vintage pieces with "too much charm not to share." It's always great to find new and emerging talent (especially amongst local sydney-siders), so I caught up with them to get to know a little more about the brand...

The red coat

This is definitely the most versatile, and therefore most worn coat in my wardrobe. I always love a punch of colour, especially when it's the main item I'm wearing. This outfit was put together in probably 1 minute - and that's why I love this coat. Just throw it on top of a simple shirt and jeans, and it immediately adds interest.

Feeling feminine

Hey guys! Since the weekend is approaching (sort of...), I thought I'd share some outfit inspiration. I've been wrapped up in jeans and coats this entire week as winter slowly rolls into Sydney, and I haven't been wearing any of my favourite feminine pieces. So it's all things girly for this post - blush, peach, magenta, coral, orange, red, neon, and every shade of pink. Enjoy!

Marchesa magic

New York Fashion week left a lasting impression, but the one label that really caught my eye was definitely Marchesa. A trip to the sub-continent of India was all that was needed to inspire British design duo Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig for their spring/summer 2013 collection. Marchesa encapsulated all the beautiful colours, fabrics, detailing, embroidery and glamour of traditional Indian designs – and on a grand scale! The Marchesa runway show took place at a perfect setting to match their lavish designs: Grand Central Station… right in the middle of peak hour!

Ray of sunshine

Just before I left for my holiday, the weather seemed to be warming up, despite winter being right around the corner in Australia. So to take advantage of the gorgeous sun, I decided to be a little adventurous and wear a lightweight white dress. And yes, wearing a dress is being adventurous for me, believe it or not, because I honestly can't remember the last time I wore one. I'm just such a jeans, pants and shorts kind of girl - it's what I reach for every day, no matter the weather.

This dress falls quite straight and doesn't really have much of a silhouette, so I wore it with my favourite gold belt to give my waist a bit more definition. And since there was plenty of sunshine, I also added a bright yellow blazer to give the outfit a fresh, summery vibe.

How would you style a simple white dress for summer? I'd love to know in the comments! :)

Thailand photo diary - Part 2

Check out Part 1 here!

Next on our trip to Thailand, we visited the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, which was beautiful. But It's definitely a contrast from what you see on the other side of the palace walls, which is how the locals live. This was the residence for previous Kings, but today it is only occasionally used for receptions and banquets.

Thailand photo diary - Part 1

I travelled to Thailand last week with my mum, and it was amazing! The people were friendly, the food was delicious (not to mention super cheap!), the monuments were breathtaking and the culture was so rich.

We landed in Bangkok - the "city of life" and I immediately noticed the heat. It was a scorching 35'C (95'F) and it only got hotter during the week. Bangkok is definitely the city for shopping - the night markets were super cheap and had all the brands you could imagine, and the surrounding flashy shopping malls stocked the more for high-end designer labels. It was without a doubt a lively city buzzing with energy. We visited the many temples and monuments in the city, including the Marble Temple, the Grand Palace and Wat Pho (reclining Buddha).
