What's in my bag?

I've realised this type of blog post has become quite popular in the past few months, and I actually love seeing all the interesting, practical and necessary items people carry in their daily bag. So I thought it would be fun to take some pics of what's inside my own bag to share with you all!

Double denim

Hey guys! I know I haven't posted in the past week or so, but that's because I went to Thailand for a holiday! It was so much fun! I highly recommend anyone to travel there - it has such rich culture, gorgeous weather and kind, genuine people - not to forget the delicious food and awesome shopping as well! I have some photos from my trip to share with you all in an upcoming post, so stay tuned!

Anyway, onto today's outfit photos... In a previous post on the double denim trend (here), I shared with you some of my favourite denim outfits and promised an outfit post showing my own take on this trend. So here it is! I did something a little different when editing the photos this time - I played around with the background and ended up making it greyscale. I actually quite liked how it turned out. I love how it makes the denim outfit the focus, and allows the shades of blue to really pop.

As for the outfit, I teamed my denim shirt with a darker pair of jeans (which i've owned for 6 years! Bardot has such great quality jeans). I liked how the different hues looked when paired together. And to finish the look off, I accessorised with some silver jewellery and added a red lip for a pop of colour.

Let me know your thoughts on the outfit and how you might have styled it in the comments!
I'd also love to grab your feedback on the editing of the photos! :)

Neon and neutral - MBFWA outfit

Hey guys! Hope you're all doing well.

MBFWA was on this week, but unfortunately I could only attend the last day due to a week full of assignments and tests for uni - and since my last class finished 2 hours before the event, I didn't really have much time to get all glammed up. So, I opted for something quite casual and comfortable, yet still with a punch of colour. And since I was literally running around all day, I thought flats were the perfect option for footwear. I'm obsessed with these "hunny bunny" neon orange shorts I recently purchased from Mossman. I love the bright colour and since i'm a huge neon fan, i'm praying that they don't go out of season soon.

Here are a few photos from the event. Enjoy!

Street style: Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia

Australian Fashion Week is done and dusted for this year (unfortunately), so I thought I'd share with you all some of my favourite street style snaps taken over the week. I could only make it to MBFW on the last day because, as you may have realised through my lack of posts in the last week, i've been super busy with work and uni. So many assignments were due in the past few days, but i'm glad that i'm finally on my uni break now! And i'll also be heading to Thailand this week for a holiday - so excited!

On a side note, I just realised that today is the 1 year anniversary of my blog! I'm not going to lie, it was definitely a slow process getting the blog started, but I have to say its been such an amazing creative outlet for me and I absolutely love blogging now. I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to all who read my blog and comment - it means so much to me and i'm so grateful for your support. xx

I hope you enjoy these snaps! Street style never fails to inspire me :) And yes, Nicole Warne, Jessica Stein, Christine Centenera and Margaret Zhang are featured more than once - because I think their style is just amazing.

Let me know your favourite look(s) in the comments!

The denim edition

Denim - possibly my favourite fabric of all time. I've been a denim kind of girl for as long as I can remember. I just love the comfort and casual vibe they give. I've heard the phrase: "Jeans are too tight and restrictive," many times, but I think it all depends on the fit and elasticity of them. I always buy jeans that mould to my body and I make sure that I can sit down and walk around in them comfortably, without needing to constantly pull them up or tuck in. You just have to pick the right pair for your body. If you're not into the super-tight denim, go for the loose, boyfriend look. It's just as chic!

I also love how denim is always fashionable. It's universally trendy and is definitely a staple for every wardrobe. But now the double-denim trend is taking hold and i'm loving it! It seems the more denim you pack into an outfit, the better. I've compiled some of my favourite photos showcasing this trend to offer some outfit inspiration and hopefully inspire you guys to try it out. Be adventurous if you dare. Play around with different shades, cuts, textures and even prints. Mix and match tight pieces with looser pieces. Pair dark denim with light denim, and see what super trendy outfits you can come up with! Enjoy!

Stay tuned for an outfit post showing my own take on this trend :)
