Blue hues

So Christmas has passed and the new year is almost here!! I feel like I wait an entire year to celebrate 1 week... and it always seems to go by so quickly! :(
Nevertheless, I hope you all had a great time eating loads of food and celebrating with loved ones.. My presents were all pretty much money (which I spent most of on Boxing Day sales! Whoops...). What did you get for Christmas?

On that note, Boxing Day sales were crazy! I was feeling brave and went to Pitt Street and Sydney City Westfield and it was insane! Queues in front of every store (and even longer queues for the change rooms), and people rushing all over the place grabbing as many items as they could from the sale tables. I didn't even get to go into Myer or David Jones because both department stores had reached full capacity and the line of people waiting went out the mall and onto the street - so I gave it a miss.
But I did manage to pick up some great deals on items I'd been eyeing out for a while, so I'm pretty happy about that!
Have you gone Boxing Day shopping yet? Did you find any good deals?

So I guess now it's the countdown to the New Year! I've been spending my last days of 2013 enjoying the summer break with beautiful blue skies, sunshine, and the wind in my hair :)
These photos were taken yesterday at a relaxing river-side park. A perfect way to unwind after all the Christmas and Boxing Day madness!

Merry Christmas!

Hey guys!
I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! (And in doing so, I thought I'd be festive in this post and stick to wearing green, white and red haha.. ;) I hope you like it!)

Wherever you are in the world, and however you decide to celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful day and cherish the moments you get to spend with your family and friends during this season :)

I already started celebrating yesterday on Xmas Eve with a morning swim at the beach, a delicious buffet dinner with family followed by a drive around the neighbourhood to see some houses draped in Christmas lights (I included a pic of my favourite house at the end of the post!). Then it was time to tuck myself into bed and watch Home Alone :) And it looks like I'll be spending Christmas day with a similar schedule!

What are your plans for Xmas?

Pom pom shorts

My new favourite pair of summer shorts :)
My lovely friend gave this outfit to me as an early Christmas present and I had to share it with you guys the minute I received it! Black stripes, neon orange floral print and a pom pom hemline all blended into one pair of cute shorts.. Love it!

Pair it with a simple white tank and some strappy sandals for an effortless summer vibe, or pair it with slip on canvas shoes like these Toms for a sporty feel.. what could be more perfect for the hot season ahead?! (especially with this heatwave that's hit Sydney this week!)

How would you style these shorts?

Pink patterns

Hey guys! Thank God It's Friday!!

Hope you're all having a great start to the weekend.. Christmas is almost here! And I can't wait to pig out on all the delicious food without a guilt in the world ;) Speaking of food, I've been doing a tonne of grocery shopping in the past week (all for the joyous occasion of course) but I can't help but start the party early and dig into the festive treats.. whoops :/
If you follow me on twitter, you may have already seen the picture of the delicious xmas pudding I had a slice of the other day.. yummmo!

Anyway, enough about food and onto today's post :) I was feeling girly the other day so I decided to wear pink - all pink. It's not something I usually do, but hey, fashion is all about experimenting! I bought this skirt a few years ago from Mink Pink and I love the print on it - it's so unique and edgy. And since it's summer and the sunshine is out, I'll definitely be wearing it a lot this season!

What are your thoughts on the skirt? How would you style it? Let me know in the comments!

Street smart

A casual "everyday" kind of outfit against a graffiti backdrop - my kind of 'street style' ;)
I seem to be finding some pretty great wall art lately (check out my previous post here for another cool mural!), and it's not everyday that you find a background which matches the colour of your sunnies!

Today was a perfect Sunday. I had a much needed sleep-in, went out for a late breakfast and then came home to watch Dirty Dancing. I forgot how cool that movie was :)
And as usual, a Sunday always calls for a comfy outfit.

Hope you guys had a great weekend! What did you get up to?

December 11, 2013

Hey guys! I hope you're all having a great week :)
I'm back with another outfit post, which I wore a few days ago to do the last of my Christmas shopping (I can't believe I've finished buying presents so early!).

I bought this skirt around 2 years ago and although I love it, I've hardly ever worn it! I love the colour and style but because I never wear pleats, I'm usually hesitant to style it. But you can never go wrong with pairing items with white for a fresh and polished look, so I went for my trusted basic white shirt and added a pastel yellow bag for some extra colour.

How would you style this skirt?
I'd love to know, not only for my own curiosity, but for future reference as well.. so I can wear this skirt out more often ;)

Welcoming December

Hey guys! Hope you're all doing well :)

I'm back with another outfit post! Since December has arrived (...already?!), I decided to go shopping and start planning all the Christmas presents for my family and friends.. And shopping always calls for a comfortable outfit - so I went straight for jeans, a t-shirt and converses :) Can't go wrong with that combo!

I know it might seem a bit early for Christmas shopping, but let's face it, can you ever be too early for it? Trying to buy a tonne of presents at the last minute while running around frantically is definitely not my thing. I'd be lying if I said I'd never done that in the past, but it was way too stressful, so I'm proud to admit that I've been much more organised this year :) Now that I've got the shopping list sorted, it's time to spend! (Oh nooooo!).

Have you guys started thinking about what presents to get your family and friends?

Denim days

Hey guys! I know it's been a while since my last post, but I've had the busiest few weeks since I finished uni. So many birthday dinners and catch ups with friends I haven't seen in ages! And last weekend was my sister's hens night! So I'm still recovering from 3 days worth of partying ;)

From now on, my schedule doesn't look too busy, so I'll definitely be uploading more in the coming weeks :) I'll also be holding a personal giveaway soon to celebrate 100 posts on my blog! I still need to buy the gift, so if you have any suggestions on what you'd like to win, let me know in the comments! It would be really helpful :)

So for today's outfit of the day post, I've teamed up a casual denim shirt (that I've been wearing to death lately!) with bright red pants to add some colour. I've also been obsessed with the reflector sunnies trend and my collection is growing! These blue sunnies were a gift from my sister on her recent trip to Bali. I love the aviator style and the blue tint - works perfectly with my denim shirt ;)

Crisp white

Hey guys! I'm back with another style inspiration post!
This time, it's all about white. I absolutely love a good clean-lined, crisp white clothing item or accessory. It's so minimal, yet gives a great polished finish to any look.

I always tend to pair bright colours with white, rather than black (like I did here, here, here and here).
I have dark coloured hair and eyes, so black can sometimes look a little overpowering on me (that's why you'll never see me in an all-black outfit!). I can always count on a fresh touch of white to brighten up my look.

I also can't get enough of white on white - as you can probably tell by these photos ;)
It's super stylish, chic and modern.

How do you wear your whites?

November 07, 2013

Day to night

Hey guys! Hope you're all having a great week so far :)

I decided to do something a little different for today's post. Instead of a usual 'outfit of the day', I wanted to show how easy it can be to take an outfit from day to night. These looks are pretty casual, so it probably wouldn't apply if you have work, and then you're attending a black tie event in the evening. However, if you're out shopping or running errands and you're going for a few casual drinks later that night but don't have the time to go home and change your whole look, then adding a few key pieces can make all the difference.

You can still keep the outfit the same, but add a sophisticated blazer and some heels to instantly take the outfit up a notch. Then add a few accessories like a statement necklace and clutch, and finish off with a touch of lipstick. I attend a lot more casual evening events than formal ones, so this method has been working for me for years!

If I can't make it home in time to change, I usually bring a few things in my car - heels, blazer, clutch and jewellery are my must-haves. What are yours?
What essentials do you bring to transform your outfit from day to night?

Sculptures by the sea

Hey guys! I hope you're all having a great weekend :)

Before I explain what all these sculptures are about, I've got some exciting news to share with you!
This is my 100th blog post!!

I know, it might not be that exciting, but I can't help but feel a little proud of myself that I've managed to start a blog and actually keep up with it. I didn't really know how far I'd go when creating this blog, but I'm so glad that I've enjoyed the whole process. Over the past few months, I feel that Think Wear Style has developed from a fashion blog, to a fashion, lifestyle and travel blog. I really enjoy having a creative outlet to share more and more of my life experiences, hobbies and inspirations with my readers, and I'm so lucky that I've been able to chat and make friends with people from all over the world through this blog.

A huge thank you to all of you out there who read my blog (and actually find it interesting!). The interaction with you all has been amazing!

To celebrate, I'll be hosting a personal giveaway next week, so stay tuned!

If you have any suggestions or ideas on what items I should have up for grabs (e.g. clothes, accessories), let me know in the comments below!

October 28, 2013

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you're all having a great start to the week :)

I'm back with another OOTD! When it comes to fashion, I'm definitely all about comfort. If I don't feel confident and comfortable in the clothes I'm wearing, I won't leave the house with it on. It's as simple as that.

So, when jersey t-shirts and leather boxer shorts started making appearances in every store, I was all for it! I love how stylish a sporty outfit can look when paired with a few awesome accessories like a pair of wedge sneakers, reflector sunglasses and a gorgeous diamonte necklace to brighten up the look.

Have you been loving sporty looks as much as I have? How do you style jersey shirts or leather shorts?

October 22, 2013

Pastel pink

Yep, I have a slight obsession with jeans. But aren't these cool?! Pastel pink with rips on the knee. A perfect balance between feminine and edgy :) I've always felt more comfortable pairing pastel shades with white. You can run the risk of looking washed out, but I think in this case with a button up shirt, it makes the outfit look a little more polished.

How would you style these jeans?

October 21, 2013

Swimwear obsessed

Lara Bingle - the epitome of a beach-loving, carefree Aussie girl. I can't get enough of her genetically blessed features and smokin' hot body. And now this gorgeous babe has partnered with Cotton On Body to create her own swimwear line! I'll definitely have to check this one out in stores - I'm spotting some cool prints ;)

October 20, 2013

Boyfriend jeans

I know these jeans have been circulating the web, and certainly circulating the blogosphere for a while now, but it's a trend I absolutely love. I've always been a jeans girl. I own way too many jeans and find myself throwing a pair on whenever I'm in a rush (which is most of the time..).

But boyfriend jeans are a whole other world for me. I'm used to tight, skinny jeans and although I find them comfortable, It's nice to know that I'll still look socially acceptable in a pair of loose, distressed, rolled up jeans. I'll be wearing these for a long time to come...

Comfortable, casual and trendy. What's not to love?!

Hong Kong photo diary - Part 2

I'm back with the final chapter of my trip to Hong Kong! And yes, there are more photos of the city skyline. I couldn't help it :) It's so beautiful!

In this post, you'll see views of the city from the peak observatory deck, more of the streets and markets, one of many gorgeous Chinese gardens, a few more tourist attractions such as the Jumbo floating restaurant, and even a quick visit to mainland China!

If you haven't seen Part 1, then make sure you check it out here! You'll get to see casinos in Macau, and more of the city streets in Hong Kong, including stunning views of the harbour at night :)

Enjoy Part 2 guys!

Hong Kong photo diary - Part 1

It's finally here! I managed to finish editing all the pics from my trip to Hong Kong, and I've cut it down to fit into 2 posts. As usual, it was tricky. Hong Kong is definitely a country I'd love to go back to some day. I weirdly felt right at home the minute I landed. The food was delicious, the people were so friendly (I managed to learn a few words in Cantonese!) and the shopping was amazing! I preferred the markets over the main department stores because I didn't want to travel to another country just to go shopping in the same stores I have at home. The markets were crowded but heaps of fun, and there were so many unique items - a great spot for souvenir shopping!

The sightseeing and culture of Hong Kong was also amazing. I pretty much spent my entire trip exploring all the sights I possibly could, and going to different locations every day. I was actually surprised by how much there is to see in this country! There was never a boring moment, which I loved. Travelling to Hong Kong has now made me even more excited to explore Chinese culture further, and plan my trip to Beijing! Not sure when I'll be going yet..

So, here are some photos from my first few days in Hong Kong. I hope you enjoy part 1 of my photo diary! Part 2 will be up later this week :)

October 08, 2013

Wild ones

Hey guys!

So as you probably already know, I'm back from Hong Kong! I had such a great time - what an exciting and energetic city! The people were so friendly, the food was delicious, the shopping was awesome, the buildings were super tall and of course, the sightseeing and overall culture was beautiful.

I still have heaps of photos to go through and edit, but since uni has hit me with a pile of assignments, I'll do my best to have the photo diary up later this week. I can't wait to share all my experiences!

For today, I thought I'd do an outfit inspiration post since I haven't done one in a while. I've always been a fan of leopard prints and I think it can definitely be worn tastefully. Leopard print coats and scarfs are probably my favourite of all the clothing items, as well as a great leopard clutch to add some fun to an outfit without going overboard on the print.

Sweater weather

The weather was quite chilly last week and usually when it's cold, I reach for a sweater and jeans - boring, I know... So I wanted to get out of my comfort zone a little and try wearing a skirt instead. For some people, wearing skirts and dresses are pretty much second nature to them, but for me it's shorts and pants. But I'm trying to change that this summer! I like this skirt because of the detailing - lace, thin panels, and a trumpet-like silhouette. I paired it with a bright red sweater with a cool cut-out on the back and a pair of boots to toughen up the look. What are your thoughts on the outfit? Do you wear skirts or shorts more?

This is my last outfit post before I head overseas! I'll be in Hong Kong for the next 2 weeks, so stay tuned for a photo diary of my time there when I get back.

You can also follow me on Twitter and Instagram where I'll be updating you guys daily!

September 21, 2013

I usually always go for colour and print in my outfits, but I've been putting my basic pieces to good use lately. There's nothing more comfortable than running errands in a simple knit, denim shorts and converses. And for a little bit of colour, I added some rose gold accessories. How do you style your basics?

In other news, I'm heading to Hong Kong in 2 days for a 2 week holiday! I'm super excited since this will be my first visit to HK. I have 1 more outfit photo to post before I leave, then it'll be 2 weeks until I post again (since I'm not taking my laptop with me). Stay tuned for my next outfit post and for the exciting photo diaries of Hong Kong when I return!

The Grounds

Yesterday was my mum's birthday, so I decided to take the day off and enjoy it with my family. We had a late breakfast at The Grounds of Alexandria, then went for some retail therapy :) I finally bought a pair of boyfriend jeans that I actually liked on myself! (I tweeted a photo of them here). Every pair that I've tried on in the past just didn't quite fit right or suit my style, but thankfully I found one because I'm in love with the trend. I'm a huge jeans person, so I guess that's no surprise. I can't wait to style them for an outfit post!

For yesterday's outfit, I went for my signature jeans and a blazer combo - comfortable and classic. I love a good pop of colour so I went for a bright blazer, and it just so happened to suit the gorgeous sunshine outside :)

September 16, 2013

I know some of you may be over the camo print already... but I'm not! :)
I still love these jeans and I've definitely worn them heaps since I purchased them a few months back. I love how versatile they are and how easy it is to dress them up or down. They give a perfect amount of edge to an outfit and you really can't go wrong when pairing them with a simple white, black or grey t-shirt.

I know the camo print isn't going to stay on-trend forever, so I'm trying to make the most of it before the summer season kicks in and the jeans get tucked away.

Are you guys still loving the camo trend?

Krista Hochwallner

I've recently come across a new label, which I've fallen head-over-heels for.
Krista Hochwallner is an Australian brand with amazing evening gowns that cater for any occasion. The designs are classic, feminine and sophisticated, but also have a modern touch with details such as sheer panels, draping, lace, sequins, and of course a gorgeous leg slit. Each piece is produced in-house in Brisbane, Australia, and is created with close attention to detail to ensure you're getting a high quality garment.

Birthday dinners, work parties, weddings, school formals and other festive events are all slowly starting to approach in the months ahead, and I'm sure we all want to look our best! So, since the end of the year is looming, I thought this was a perfect time to share this amazing website with you guys to give you some outfit inspiration for the formal season!

The online boutique also ships worldwide!

Colour bash

Happy Monday everyone!
Hope you're all having a great start to the week. I'm back with an outfit post, and true to my style, it's full of colour :)

But - how cool is this background?! I was on my lunch break when I walked passed this amazing wall and knew I had to shoot an outfit post with it. So I decided to come back the next day (with some more exciting clothes on that aren't my usual 'denim and t-shirt' outfit for work). I've had this blazer for years and absolutely love it. I'm a huge fan of blazers and I love throwing them on over a plain t-shirt to add a bit more sophistication.

And floral pants are a must. Because it's spring. Groundbreaking. (Couldn't help myself. Love The Devil Wears Prada.)

VOGUE Fashion's Night Out

I attended VFNO last night and had heaps of fun shopping the new season looks from stores all around the CBD and Pitt Street area. There were discounts on every corner and DJs in every store. There were also fun activities, fashion shows, and free ice-creams and champagne everywhere you looked!

A show which I particularly enjoyed was the David Jones #WEARE catwalk styled by two of my favourite bloggers: Sara Donaldson of Harper & Harley, and Rochelle Fox of A Fox That Meows. It's all about fresh young style for spring/summer, being confident in yourself and dressing to suit your own personality. You can express your style by completing the hashtag.

#WEARETRENDY would sum up my style. I love changing up my style every now and then and wearing things that I never expected would come into fashion. I love experimenting with style as well, and wearing trendy items always helps to add a little fun and excitement to my outfit.

I hope you enjoy these snaps from the show! All items are in store now.

Beige beauty

I've always been a huge fan of beige, nude, cream and camel colours. I feel that it compliments my skin tone and pairs well with most colours - and since I'm a huge lover of colour in my outfits, it's always nice to wear a nude shade to tone it down. It's such a versatile shade as well, making it so easy to style. I've noticed the trend at the moment is all about getting back to basics - black, white, stripes, leopard, denim etc. But I feel beige is also a basic colour that's a must for our wardrobes.

Here's some outfit inspiration for your week ahead! Which photos are your favourite?
How do you style cream/beige items? I'd love to know in the comments!

Leather tights

Oh, how I love leather... Pants, skirts, shorts, dresses, shirts, boots and everything in between. I'm quite glad that this trend seems to be sticking around for a while because it's definitely a material that I love wearing. It adds instant edge to your outfit and is actually quite comfortable to wear. I wanted to go for a more relaxed vibe so I paired it with an army green shirt and a beanie, but you can just as easily dress up a pair of leather pants - as I did in a recent post here. Versatility is something I always look for in an item and leather definitely delivers this :)

What's your favourite way to style leather pieces? Let me know in the comments!

MBFF Sydney - Trends

Hey guys! Hope you're all having a great start to the week :)

Last weekend, I attended the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival in Sydney's CBD and got to see some amazing pieces from the Trends runway show. Since I had some issues with my DSLR that night, I was left with no other choice but to snap some pics on my iPhone, so I apologise for the quality!
Along with what I wore, here are some of my favourite parts of the show - which of course included the closing. Maticevski can do no wrong! Futuristic haute couture done so well.

Enjoy! :)

August 24, 2013

Favourite statement necklace

I've been loving this statement layered necklace from the minute I bought it about a year ago. It's the perfect accessory to add to an outfit when wanting to transition from day to night effortlessly. It'll take any outfit up a notch instantly and adds the right amount of glamour for your night out. We all need a trusty piece like this that we can always rely on in our jewellery collection!

August 21, 2013

Green envy

I'm back with another outfit inspiration post! And this time it's all about Green :)
I've always been in love with emerald and I really like pairing it with black, white or neutral tones for a pop of colour in my outfit, but I usually wear the same jeans + shirt combination. I wanted to discover new ways of wearing different shades of green so I took to Pinterest (my obsession!) to find some street style snaps for inspiration to share with you all.

If you're looking for fun new ways to wear green, think faux fur coats, trench coats, lace pants, leather jackets, sheer maxi skirts, dresses (try metallic if you dare!), and if you just want a hint of green, then bold accessories will look great. Just have fun with it and experiment with different textures and prints to add interest.

Which looks are your favourite? And how do you style green items in your wardrobe?
I'd love to know in the comments!

Walk the line

Hey guys! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend :)

I'm back with an outfit post - it's monochromatic and quite simple, but I've been loving stripes lately and you can never go wrong with black and white! I paired the outfit with some gold accessories and heels for an evening event, but I also think adding a camel coloured coat and some flats would be a perfect day look for winter. How do you style stripes? I'd love to know in the comments!

Rock it out

Here's some Thursday arvo inspiration for you all! :)

I'm quite classic with my style - usually sticking to jeans or tailored pants and a blazer for most days, but today I thought I'd step out of the box a bit and find some edgy outfit inspiration. I love printed shirts and leather jackets, but I've never thought I could pull off a rocker vibe - I just love clean lines, structure and colour too much. But, I thought these photos had the right amount of edge to them that I might just be able to pull of!

What's your personal style like?  How would you style edgy pieces?
I'd love to know in the comments :)

The peplum

I bought this peplum top so long ago (I think I've had it for a year now..) but I still love it! I find peplums really flattering whether it be on a top or skirt, because it not only hides the areas your not too comfortable with, but it also adds shape and silhouette.

This yellow peplum is definitely a favourite of mine. It's so easy to dress it up with heels for a night out, or dress it down with a pair of jeans or shorts for a sophisticated day look. And I'm always drawn to colour and detail when it comes to fashion, so of course I fell in love with the bright yellow tone and the triangular cut-outs on the neckline. It just adds a little something extra :) I decided to toughen the look up by pairing the peplum with some leather pants, yet still keep it feminine with some gold heels.

How do you style your peplum items? I'd love to know in the comments!

Myer SS14 fashion launch

Last night I attended the Myer spring/summer 2014 fashion show and boy am I excited for the warmer months ahead! The theme "This is Australia" focused on the Aussie outback and drew inspiration from the wonderful warm and earthy tones that our bushland is famous for. The designs were all amazing - a lot of sheer whites and neutrals and of course floral prints and other fun patterns with gorgeous pops of colour. I also loved seeing native Australian plants and akubra hats on the runway - such a great way to blend culture and fashion.

Here are some shots I took during the night... And how amazing did Jennifer Hawkins look on the runway?!

Enjoy! And let me know your favourite looks in the comments :)

Jewelissima wishlist + special offer!

I've recently stumbled upon Jewelissima - a great online jewellery and accessories website with super trendy yet affordable items, and had to share it with you all!

Top 6 picks for summer

I know it may seem strange writing this post as I'm freezing my butt off and it's pouring rain outside, but it's never too early to prepare for summer in Sydney! And for those of you who are lucky to be half way around the world and experiencing the beautiful sunshine, then I hope you find this post insightful :)

I was recently a featured blogger for Pickiea personalized shopping magazine for fashion, beauty & home goods. In Pickie you can personalize your catalog by selecting themes within categories, and each day you'll get an 'edition' of products & content that's tailored to your taste. Everything you see you can buy without leaving the app, which means no more frustration from seeing something awesome and then not being able to find where to buy it.
And if you want to see more options you can search to see everything in their catalog and filter by price, brand, etc. to find something that best suits your unique tastes (#bePickie!).

And as part of the collaboration, I chose 6 essential picks for this summer:

Zara fall 2013 campaign

Zara's creative direction just keeps on improving and I find myself becoming more and more in love with the brand every year. These action shots from the Zara fall collection immediately caught my attention - so chic and modern!
These photos have a high-end fashion feel to them with the structured pieces and clean lines, yet Zara still seems to maintain their signature wearable vibe with neutral tones and classic designs.
This is definitely a collection I can't wait to see in store!

What are your favourite pieces? What do you think of the collection so far? I'd love to know in the comments :)

August 01, 2013

It's August already?! This year is flying for me...
Unfortunately I'm back at uni and have just completed week 1. Getting into my usual uni and work routine is taking a while since I just had a 2 month break (which I still wish I was on..).

So I'm back with another outfit post - a typical freezing morning in Sydney on the way to uni. I'm loving these cobalt jeans at the moment - they definitely brighten up the outfit. Since I'm a jeans junkie, I'm always looking to find new colours, prints and cuts. This pair stood out to me the minute I saw them not only because of the colour, but because the fit is amazing and the fabric has the perfect amount of stretch. And of course, I couldn't resist pairing it with this sweater - how cool are those leather sleeves?!

Pop of purple

Scrolling through fashion photos on Pinterest is definitely one of my favourite things to do. There's an endless supply of outfit inspiration, which can easily spark an idea for a blog post. So, as you can tell from the title, today's inspiration board is all about shades of purple! I'm always one for colour - I hardly ever wear all black, so I'm always interested in finding new ways of injecting statement colours into my outfits. Enjoy!

Lazy sunday outfit

Hey guys - hope you're all doing well and enjoying your weekend! Here's a little outfit inspiration for a lazy sunday.

I'm spending my sunday with a late breakfast in bed, catching up on some emails, then organising my timetable for the week. Uni is unfortunately back and my holidays are over :(
Hopefully I'll have some time later in the afternoon for a gym session. My Saturday night dessert needs to be burnt off!

How are you spending your Sunday?
Sunglasses, watch, rings, sneakers, dress, bag, cardigan

Chilly mornings

A complete opposite weather reference to my last post - but this is the reality of Sydney right now. I've experienced nothing but chilly mornings (and nights) since I got back from overseas, and it's making it super hard to get out of bed. Nevertheless, there's nothing like a warm knit and a pair of bright pants to lift the mood! :)

At least winter fashion is fun!

Summer days

I have to admit, this is a long over-due outfit post. In reality, it's winter in Sydney right now so I wouldn't be frolicking around the beach in a dress. But, looking and these photos does make me miss those warmer days...

A day out to the beach always has me wearing a fun and flirty dress, a cool pair of sunnies and a trusty fedora. It's a perfect combo for me - casual, fun, comfortable and practical! Since I wasn't taking a dip in the ocean, I decided to play with layering a little and wore a sheer button-up shirt as a vest to go with the flowy vibe of the dress.

How do you guys style your outfits for the beach? I'd love to know in the comments!

I'm finally back with an outfit post!

I feel like this is such a classical and timeless outfit - and super comfortable! It's definitely a go-to outfit and I've worn variations of it many times. It's so practical when I'm at work or out running errands. And that was exactly what I did today. I love the combination of navy blue and stripes - you can never go wrong with it. And how cool are these ankle boots?! I'm loving them because not only are they right on trend, but the weather has been unpredictable lately so they transition well from a sunny day to a rainy one.

India photo diary - Part 2

Hey guys, I'm back with Part 2!
If you missed out Part 1, you can check it out here. It covered a bit of Kuala Lumpur, then New Delhi, Punjab and Jaipur/Ajmer.

In this post, I'll be showing you guys the rest of my trip. Starting with the most exciting monument of all - the Taj Mahal! Part 2 will cover the cities of Agra, Varanasi (Ganges River), Bodh Gaya and a little bit of Delhi towards the end. Enjoy!

Taj Mahal!! It was a dream come true to be able to see one of the ancient wonders of the world, and it definitely lived up to all the hype! It was absolutely breathtaking. Such an iconic photo :)

India photo diary - Part 1 (+ Malaysia)

Hey guys! I'm finally back! :)
As you may already know, I've been travelling around India with my mum for the past 3 weeks and it was amazing. The people were friendly and always willing to help; the culture was so rich and beautiful; the sights, temples, forts, tombs and monuments were breathtaking and so large in scale (it got pretty tiring to walk around every monument in 35 degree heat); and the food was super delicious! I actually had a vegetarian diet for the entire trip! Most people in India are vegetarian, but they sure know how to cook tasty meals :)

Here's an overview of our itinerary:
We had a stop-over in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for a day so I included some pics. After we landed in Delhi, we straight away headed north to the states of Punjab and Haryana. Then we headed back down to Delhi for some sightseeing. From Delhi, we drove south-west to Jaipur and Ajmer in the state of Rajasthan. From here, we drove east to Agra in the state of Uttar Pradesh to see the one and only - Taj Mahal! Then we caught an overnight train east to Varanasi to see the Ganges River. From here, we drove further east to Bodh Gaya in the state of Bihar. This city is home to the Mahabodhi Temple and the Bodhi Tree, under which Buddha is believed to have attained enlightenment. Then we drove back to Varanasi where we caught an overnight train back to Delhi.

It was a jam-packed holiday with so many wonderful experiences and memories to share, and I'm so excited to show you all what I got up to!

Goodbye Sydney, Hello India!

Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well :)

I know I haven't posted in a few days, but I've been super busy with final exams and assignments for uni - but I'm so glad the semester is finally over! I have a 7 week break now, and I'm looking forward to it because I'm going on a 3 week holiday to India! I'm actually leaving today, and I'm so excited for this trip! I've never been there before, and seeing the Taj Mahal is definitely one of the many items on my bucket list - in fact, seeing all the wonders of the world are on my bucket list :) I'll be exploring the northern and north-western areas on this trip, and I'll travel around the southern and eastern areas on my next trip. I forgot how huge India was until I started planning my trip and realised I couldn't really do and see everything in one go.

Also, it would be a little impractical for me to carry my laptop around India, especially because I'll be constantly on the move. So, unfortunately I won't be able to post anything for the next 3 weeks, but I'll definitely be uploading a photo diary of my adventures as soon as I get back!

I hope you all have a wonderful 3 weeks ahead :)
I'll leave you all with some stunning photographs capturing one of the most culturally-rich countries in the world. Enjoy!

Boyfriend pants

What are the next best thing to boyfriend jeans right now? Boyfriend pants! I'm absolutely in love with these loose-fit white pants from Front Row Shop. I saw them online at Spr√®dfashion and had to have them! They fit perfectly and are such great quality. You can dress them up with a pair of heels and a statement necklace, or dress them down with some cute flats and a casual shirt. The style and colour make it so versatile, which is exactly what I look for when purchasing items.

I decided to keep it simple and polished so I styled them with a green knit for a punch of colour and some gold accessories.

My favourite beauty products

Hey guys! I thought I'd do something a little different for today's post, and show you all my favourite beauty products. These are pretty much all the products I use on a regular basis. But I don't wear them all every day because I generally like to keep my face natural and breathable.

For my daily routine, I use a moisturiser, concealer, mineral powder, brow pencil and white eye liner - that's it! But I would use the rest of the products when I'm not just doing my "uni-work-home" routine.

Trend: striped pants

I'm absolutely in love with striped pants, but I still don't know whether I can pull off the trend. I've tried on a few different styles in stores, and I still haven't found a pair that I love. Hopefully I can find one soon - it would definitely be a staple in my wardrobe for the winter months ahead.

Let me know if you have any suggestions on where I could find some amazing striped pants in the comments below :)

Here's some outfit inspiration for you all!

Leather love

I've been in love with leather boxer shorts lately, so when I saw these online, I had to buy them! Surprisingly, I've been getting quite a bit of wear out of them lately (considering it's moving towards winter in Sydney). I just team it with a coat, or wear it with stockings on colder days. The style and colour also makes them super versatile, so I plan on wearing them as much as I can in the coming months.
