Judging from the title, you're probably wondering why I'd be posting up a blog entry on faux fur, especially since winter is done and dusted and we're now well into Spring. Well, as some of you may know, I LOVE winter. I love the fashion, the layering, the accessories and the textures - leather, lace, suede and of course, faux fur! I was just browsing through Pinterest (my new obsession! - click here to follow me!), and I found so many photos of fur jackets, coats, cardigans, boots, and it reminded me of the gorgeous winter. So I thought i'd just post up some photos so we can all reminisce (ok, just the winter-lovers)...

The up and coming blossoming flowers provide perfect inspiration for the floral trend, which will take you right through to summer.

The great thing about this trend is that there are so many different styles from delicate and feminine floral prints to more bolder and brighter prints, so you can adapt it to suit your mood and personality. As we all know, the past week has been filled with celebrations and excitement in the UK and also right here in Australia. Firstly, it was the Queen's birthday! (giving us Aussies a public holiday!). But of course, the most excitement surrounded a historic event to mark 60 years of the Queen's reign - the Diamond Jubilee. I think we can all agree that the Queen is one of the most iconic women in the world - and yes, in the fashion industry too!
From a young age, the Queen has always remained stylish and elegant, no matter the occasion. As she grew older and wiser, her fashion sense also matured and there really hasn't been any bad wardrobe days for this royal lady. Why? She always sticks to a few "style rules" (most of which many young lady's in todays society should take note of): no transparency, not too tight or short, must adhere to weather conditions, must be culturally sensitive when touring and must be designed by a British designer.
The Queen once said, 'I have to be seen to be believed'. Her small figure can make it hard for her to be spotted in a crowd, so she always wears bright colours - hot pinks, bright blues and purples - to help the public catch a glimpse of her. You could say she made bright colours - even colour blocking - fashionable.
Supermodel Aggie Deyn style icon is the Queen and Dolce and Gabbana's 2008 winter collection was inspired by her. Now at the age of 86, one can only imagine the changes in style she has witnessed - even living through the most iconic and fashionable decades in history, from the Roaring 20's to today. She has proven that age is not what determines great style, but rather that age can enhance one's style and elegance. If you're going to rule the throne, why not do it wearing it a hot fuchsia jacket?!
Here's a look into the Queen's fashion over the past one year, thanks to Vogue:

Manish Arora recently launched his new Autumn/Winter line at the 2012 Paris Fashion Week, after ending his 1 year contract as the creative director of French fashion house Paco Rabanne.
His designs have become increasingly popular among many Hollywood celebrities such as Heidi Klum, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, MIA, Nicole Scherzinger, Rihanna, Beth Ditto, Nicki Minaj, Pixie Geldof and many more. Manish’s designs are stocked in 75 stores worldwide with a majority in Europe, and he shows no signs of slowing down.
Manish is well-known for the amount of detailing in each garment, and his designs stand out due to the dominance of vibrant colours and the use of rich tones. He blends traditional and intricate applique, beading and embroidery with more westernised silhouettes to create a modern feel. This modern feel, however, is usually pushed even further to create an almost futuristic and space-age style, which can be described as quite bizarre. He is also no stranger to eye-catching prints and designs, which feature as a main theme in his Autumn/Winter line.
At the launch of his line in Paris, Arora chose to have a graffiti mural painted as the backdrop of his catwalk, which read ‘Life is Beautiful’. This statement set the mood for the show and prepared audiences for the vibrant, unique and rich-textured garments that was soon to be revealed. The show progressed from extravagant autumn-themed designs to more wearable graffiti and flower printed designs, and finally finished off with fur-edged dresses and skirts.
At the conclusion of the show, Arora had once again successfully managed to wow audiences with his creativity and uniqueness in fashion, and his innovative and bold cuts.
Here are some snapshots from his recent show:

At the risk of sounding really odd, I have to say: I LOVE winter! (especially when it comes to fashion...) I can't think of anything better than stepping out in bright and beautiful coats, scarves, gloves, boots, leggings, beanies, and all things cute and warm. This season, the colours are looking rich and luxurious! - but remember: don't forget to experiment with your fashion! Try mixing prints and be playful with textures like fur and leather. I'm also looking forward to accessorising like crazy these next few months and I took a little time to pick out some fabulous runway and street-style winter outfits that I'm sure you'll all love!

I absolutely love my Moschino Belt. I wear quite often and to me, it's such a timeless piece and definitely a staple in my wardrobe. It adds an edge to any outfit and can sometimes be the stand out piece. Since I love wearing this treasured piece, I thought I'd compile a few photos together to show you the endless number of ways you can style your Moschino belt. I hope you find some inspiration and start belting up!
I recently saw the Rachel Zoe Pre-Fall 2012 Collection and fell in love! I've always loved her style, but I found that her collections didn't quite suit me... until now, that is! My style is very feminine and polished yet edgy, and I could never pull off her boho-chic style, which is over-sized and loose fitting. I love wearing structured pieces that have a uniqueness to them. And this collection is exactly that! I love the clean lines that most of the garments have, and I really like how she pairs some of these more structured pieces with chiffon fabrics - it creates a nice balance.
Here are a few photos of her collection:

These stone YSL rings have been an obsession of mine for a while now. They are such a chic statement piece of jewellery and one that will definitely last through all seasons. I'm seriously considering buying one, but the price tag is keeping it at a distance. And since I have a huge jewellery collection already, i'm going to have to think twice about this one. Nevertheless, it's stunning! And just look at all the possible ways you could style one...

Welcome to THINK WEAR STYLE!
My name is Talia and I’m currently working as a fashion columnist. I've also dived into university studies this year - undertaking a Communications (Journalism) and International Studies (French) double degree.
I'm very passionate about fashion and also about writing so I’m starting this blog not only as a creative outlet for me, but also as a way to gain inspiration and connect with other like-minded fashion bloggers.
I've been thinking about starting my own blog for a while now and kept saying to myself that I’d start one when all my other work is up to date. But let's face it, we can never really stay on top of everything at work and university - when one project is finished, another one comes along. So I stopped procrastinating and here I am!
I would describe my personal style as classic and polished, yet trendy and edgy. I love mixing structured blazers with distressed jeans, or tailored pants with an edgy leather jacket.
THINK WEAR STYLE will be my personal style file. I'll share my daily outfits, any great fashion finds that I come across, style suggestions, trends that I currently love and more. I'll basically write about anything that inspires me! I hope you like my blog and don't forget to follow for updates.
I'm excited to see how this goes! I have a feeling I'm really going to enjoy blogging.
Until next time,
